Awareness is a soothing balm…

Awareness is different to distraction. Without awareness we might find it harder to notice the nuances, changes and messages of the body.

We might not notice the crucial signals telling us to pay attention and move differently or perhaps avoid what might impact the bodies health.

Awareness appears to be subtle, and perhaps not so important. Yet it has such a remarkable effect on health. In contrast, distraction has the influence of distancing us from the intelligence and wisdom already present within the body and hence, the capacity to make appropriate choices.

It’s not that distraction is wrong, distraction simply comes from a desire to minimise discomfort.

This is how awareness plays a pivotal role.

In Craniosacral Therapy, we utilise awareness to assist the body to become familiar with it’s natural state, which is balance, or better yet, we could call our bodies natural state health.

In order for health to be expressed we offer an environment where distractions are minimal and assist the nervous system to settle by providing adequate resources. We often find less breaths are required, the body becomes less agitated and resilience develops.
